Patio Idea #1 - Concrete Pavers and Outdoor Structure
Berlin Garden structures are only available in Cincinnati and Columbus markets at this time.
Is your backyard lacking shade to beat the heat during this scorching summer? Consider adding a patio with an outdoor structure from Berlin Gardens. This project by Werbrichs Landscaping is an excellent example of how easy it can be to add a patio with an outdoor structure to your backyard. Prior to the install, this backyard offered no shade, seating, or functional space for outdoor activities. Now, a pergola from Berlin Gardens, and concrete patio pavers offer a nice outdoor getaway for the homeowner. The concrete patio pavers look great, and are an affordable solution.
Outdoor structures from Berlin Garden are perfect for backyards that are lacking shade, and they provide an excellent focal point.. If you're looking for an outdoor structure with an open feel to it, consider a pergola. For an outdoor structure with more shade, go with a choice of our pavilions. Gazebos are also an excellent choice for shade, and they provide more privacy.
Patio Idea #2 - Flagstone Patio with Natural Stone Firepit
Looking to keep the party going after the sun sets? Consider adding a flagstone patio with a natural stone firepit to your backyard or landscape. This rustic backyard patio, which was installed by Ron Elpers Landscaping, embraces the natural characteristics and colors of natural stone with the selection of products used. The earth tones look fantastic, and they match the wooded backyard area.
Natural stone is the best choice for firepit areas for a few reasons.
- Stone products are naturally heat resistant, meaning they won't become charred or discolored from continued use.
- The durability and weight of natural stone keeps it from shifting overtime.
- Natural stone products last a lifetime, allowing you to not only enjoy your patio for years to come, but also providing a return on your investment when you sell your home.
Patio Idea #3 - Concrete Patio with Surrounding Decorative Wall
The last patio project that we're going to focus on in this blog comes from an install by Timberwood Landscacping. This stunning backyard patio project features several different concrete products that we stock. The concrete patio pavers are a product called Beacon Hill Flagstone from Unilock. Beacon Hill Flagstone has a very natural appearance and is ideal for almost any landscape project. As you can see, it's especially great for patios and walkways, but is not recommended for driveways. We carry several different colors for this concrete paver, such as Bavarian, Fossil, Opal, Sierra, and Granite Fusion. (which is what's featured in this project)
The border of the patio uses two more concrete products to add some flair to the patio. The white inner border features a concrete patio product that we also carry called Elements pavers by County Materials. This is an excellent product that we recently added to our inventory. It's very easy to install, and looks fantastic. Elements pavers offer superior surface durability and a clean aesthetic with their smooth surface and slightly chamfered edges. The colors that we carry for this product are Dream, Haven, Majestic, Oasis, Reflection, Reunion, Serenity, Vision and Timeless. (which is what's featured in this project)
The black outer border features another great concrete product called Copthorne from Unilock. The surface of each Copthorne paver is uniquely cast using Reala™ Technology to capture the feel of Europe’s oldest brick streets. Made with Ultima™ Concrete Technology, you not only get that bygone look and feel, but with the assurance that Copthorne can be used in the most demanding of applications. The colors that we carry for this product are Burgundy Red, Burnt Clay, Old Oak, Steel Blue, and Basalt. (which is what's featured in this project)
The wall that surrounds the patio provides a hint of privacy for the homeowners, and adds some additional seating. The decorative wall features Brussels Dimensional Wall. The simple design of the Brussels Dimensional System makes it a popular choice for garden walls, steps, pillars and outdoor kitchens. Also, firepits can be custom designed using Brussels Dimensional. Available Colors: Coffee Creek, River, Sandstone, Sierra, and Limestone. (which is what's featured in this project)
The seating from the decorative wall is made possible by the inclusion of wall coping, which is the smooth surface on top of the wall. The coping featured on this project is called Ledgestone Buff. Ledgestone is Unilock's universal coping system featuring a remarkably natural appearance with pitched edges and two color options to work interchangeably with any wall. Available Colors: Buff, Grey. (which is what's featured in this project)
